Hi, I’m Rimple Kaur Guron, founder of Peaceful Mind Therapy PLLC. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois, and an EMDR Certified Therapist through EMDRIA. I specialize in working with adults who may appear strong, successful, and capable on the outside while carrying experiences that feel much heavier beneath the surface. My work focuses especially on survivors of sexual assault and trauma, professionals experiencing high-functioning anxiety and burnout, and people of color navigating cultural identity, racial experiences, family expectations, and belonging. You can be functioning well and still need support. Maybe you're successful in your career but constantly overthinking, putting pressure on yourself to do more, or struggling to set boundaries. You may be the person everyone depends on while privately feeling anxious, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from yourself. Maybe you've experienced sexual assault, abuse, or another traumatic experience that continues to affect your sense of safety, relationships, trust, or connection with your body. Or perhaps you're navigating the intersection of culture, race, family, and your own identity. You may find yourself balancing who you are with who you've been expected to be. Therapy can be a space where you don't have to perform, minimize what you've experienced, or have everything figured out. My Approach to Therapy My approach is compassionate, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and individualized to you. I integrate EMDR therapy, CBT, DBT, mindfulness-based techniques, and other evidence-based approaches to help you process difficult experiences, better understand patterns that may no longer be serving you, strengthen emotional regulation, and create meaningful change. As an EMDR Certified Therapist, I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process traumatic or distressing experiences that may continue to feel emotionally overwhelming or "stuck." Healing isn't about forgetting what happened or becoming a completely different person. It's about helping painful experiences have less power over how you feel, respond, and move through your life today. Culturally Responsive Therapy Culture matters in therapy. As a Punjabi therapist and woman of color, I understand that mental health doesn't exist separately from culture, family, race, community, and identity. Therapy may involve exploring cultural expectations, intergenerational patterns, immigration experiences, racial experiences, family roles, or the pressure of navigating multiple identities. I especially value creating a space where clients of color can talk openly about these experiences without feeling that they need to minimize, translate, or explain why they matter. I offer therapy in English and Punjabi, with additional language support available in Hindi and Urdu. My Background I was born and raised in Illinois and have called the Pacific Northwest home since 2020. Being connected to both regions gives me a personal understanding of the communities I serve through my virtual practice. I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Psychology Counseling Practice from Roosevelt University in Illinois and my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Saint Louis University in Missouri. Since 2019, my clinical work has included extensive experience supporting individuals recovering from trauma, including survivors of sexual assault. Today, I provide virtual therapy to adults throughout Washington and Illinois, including Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma, Chicago, Naperville, and surrounding communities. You don't have to keep carrying everything alone. Whether you're trying to heal from something that happened to you, exhausted from constantly holding everything together, or trying to understand who you are beneath cultural and societal expectations, therapy can give you space to slow down and focus on yourself. You deserve a life that feels peaceful, not just one that looks successful from the outside.
