My focus is on guiding you through shame, grief, guilt or anger while improving emotion regulation, self-worth, assertiveness, and quality of relationships. My focus includes addressing past traumas and how they relate to your current struggles. I am trained in EMDR and work with PTSD and C-PTSD to help you understand how your past impacts your present responses and to assist you in learning more adaptive ways to navigate your daily challenges. Using a holistic approach, I help you regulate your nervous system and stay present. Once you feel more grounded, I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed techniques to help you understand how your thoughts impact your emotions and daily life. I focus on helping you build self-understanding by increasing awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and patterns, and by developing a more flexible way of responding that align with your values. I believe a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful work, and I approach each session with honesty, compassion, and care.
