Introduction

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in North Carolina. I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families, providing counseling grounded in evidence-based practice and a strengths-focused approach. I approach therapy as an encourager, helping clients recognize their inherent worth and develop healthier patterns of thinking, relating, and living. I bring over 25 years of experience supporting personal growth through coaching, facilitation, and leadership development in nonprofit and organizational settings. This background informs a calm, structured therapeutic style that balances thoughtful reflection with actionable steps forward, helping individuals navigate the different seasons of life and turn insight into meaningful, sustainable change. For the past seven years, my work has been closely connected with adolescents and families navigating ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, and family conflict—experience that continues to inform my work with individuals, couples, and families today. My clinical work integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and strengths-based counseling. I incorporate Christian faith perspectives when requested by the client and when clinically appropriate. Clients often describe my approach as steady, supportive, and respectful, with an emphasis on trust and collaboration. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, an MBA, and an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts. I practice under clinical supervision as required by the state of North Carolina. I am also a parent of four adult children. Outside of my professional work, I value time outdoors—hiking, climbing, cycling, motorcycle riding, and mountaineering—as well as painting and drawing, which continue to inform how I understand resilience, creativity, and the process of growth.
