Introduction

I am a clinical psychologist who specializes in working with young adults, LGBTQ+ people (especially trans and non-binary), trauma, and borderline personality disorder. My clients often come from backgrounds where they feel misunderstood and invalidated. They can feel frustrated with their important relationships, or like they're stuck on an emotional roller coaster, or like they have trouble relaxing and feeling safe. In therapy, I create an accepting, non-judgmental environment where my clients can feel seen. From there, I help clients understand themselves and what they need to grow and heal. I view every person as a unique individual. What helps one person the most might be different from what helps someone else. As an integrative therapist, I draw on different theories, research, and techniques to customize treatment for each patient. My style is both warm and direct; I want you to feel accepted and understood, but I will also challenge you. I am currently not accepting new clients. If you have worked with me at any point in the past or if you are new and want to be added to my waitlist, please feel free to reach out! License Numbers: CA: PSY36510, NY: 027719, VA: 0810009040 Insurance: I accept commercial/PPO plans for the following insurance carriers: Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield (New York and Virginia), Anthem Blue Cross (California), Blue Shield of California, and CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield (Virginia).
