Introduction

Robin Love, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC II) with over 20 years of experience in addiction and mental health treatment. Holding a master’s degree in clinical social work from San Jose State University, I have had the privilege of working in diverse treatment settings, managing recovery programs, and supporting individuals and families through the complexities of chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders. In my role, I focus on program development, management, and supervision. I have led initiatives like nurse diversion groups for San Mateo County, developed comprehensive family programs, and created therapeutic interventions tailored to a wide range of client needs. I am deeply committed to providing effective, individualized treatment plans by integrating evidence-based practices such as DBT, relapse prevention, and trauma-informed care. As a supervisor and mentor, I provide guidance to therapists, ensuring they develop strong clinical skills in addiction treatment. I collaborate closely with treatment teams to develop recovery strategies that foster long-term success and reduce the stigma surrounding addiction. Currently, I am launching the Choices Substance Abuse Intensive Out-Patient Program at Los Gatos Therapy Center, where I continue to develop innovative, holistic programs that empower clients to heal and thrive.
