Hi, I’m Robin Matchett-Schmidt, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience supporting individuals and families through life’s most challenging moments. My journey into social work began with a deep passion for helping people heal and reclaim their sense of self. Over the years, I’ve worked extensively with children, teens, adults, and families, specializing in trauma-informed care and culturally responsive practices. In my practice, I offer evidence-based therapies such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I have a particular focus on supporting LGBTQ+ individuals and families, integrating harm-reduction education and affirming care to create a safe and empowering environment. My approach combines warmth and compassion with clinical expertise. I believe in tailoring therapy to each client’s unique experiences and strengths, fostering resilience and long-term growth. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or family stress, my goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and equipped with tools to create meaningful, lasting change. Together, we can create a path toward healing, self-understanding, and hope for the future.
