Introduction

You may care deeply about one another and still find yourselves stuck in the same patterns. Arguments repeat, communication becomes difficult, or you simply don’t feel as connected or understood as you once did. You may have tried to make things better, but somehow find yourselves back in the same place. I work primarily with couples and families. Rather than focusing on who is right, wrong, or “the problem,” I help you understand what is happening between you and the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. In the room, I am warm, active, and collaborative. I listen closely, but I also ask questions, share what I notice, and slow things down when something important is happening. Together, we look beneath the anger, defensiveness, frustration, or withdrawal and begin finding different ways to understand and respond to one another. My work is grounded in family systems and person-centered therapy. My clinical training is only one part of what I bring to this work. My own experiences navigating different transitions in life, along with being a wife and mother, have shaped how I understand the complexities of relationships, parenting, family life, and change. The goal isn’t to eliminate disagreement. It is to understand each other better, reconnect, and learn how to navigate differences without losing one another in the process. I am currently accepting private-pay clients for telehealth throughout Massachusetts. Superbills are available for out-of-network benefits.
