Hi, I'm Roseanna (She/Her). My path into medicine — and into this work — has been shaped by both professional training and personal experience. Growing up in East Los Angeles as the daughter of immigrant parents from Mexico, I became deeply aware of how family, culture, and societal systems shape who we become. Early life adversities were formative, shaping my sense of resilience and teaching me how profoundly our experiences influence the mind and body. I spent a lot of my early adulthood not quite understanding why my mind and body worked the way they did. Attention felt unreliable. Energy came and went. Emotions arrived with a weight that didn't always match the moment. Eventually I had language for some of it — but the ADHD diagnosis was never the whole picture. I am a person with a history, a nervous system, and internal narratives that have been shaping me across my lifespan. Learning to see myself that way — fully, not just clinically — is a big part of what brought me to this work. I started my own practice to prioritize relationships that are not driven by the conventional model. This allows for continuity, trust, and care that feels grounded and meaningful over time. My clinical work draws on my training in psychiatry, family medicine, and public health, alongside an approach informed by IFS and Hakomi — frameworks that honor the complexity of the whole person and invite the body into the healing process. I am most interested in the intersection of mental health, physiology, and longevity — helping people move beyond symptom relief toward sustainable well-being across the lifespan. To me, healing isn't just about reducing symptoms. It's about building capacity, restoring regulation, and reconnecting with ourselves, with each other, and with the world around us. Outside of my work, nature and travel have been essential sources of grounding and perspective. Tending my garden has taught me to slow down, notice patterns, and connect more deeply — to the earth, to the seasons, and to myself. I spend my time outside of my work with family, friends, and my sweet dog—simple moments that keep me connected to what matters.
