Introduction

Thanks for reading my profile. I'm Russell, the owner of Austin Counseling and Trauma Specialists. We have a team of counselors available to help. We accept Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, United/Optum, UMR, Oscar, and have immediate openings. I started work in the mental health field in 1999 and have worked as a volunteer all the way up to a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in Texas and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor in Minnesota. I focused most of my career on trauma work and now a group practice that focuses on trauma too. But we're more than that. We can work with most issues including anxiety, depression, life transitions, divorce, teen issues, gender issues, sexuality, family issues, sexual abuse/assault, PTSD, grief and loss, self-growth, and other counseling needs. We have counselors trained in EMDR and Brainspotting specialties for specialized treatment for trauma. We work with clients ages 13+ and provide individual, couples, family, and group counseling. Additionally we provide a safe and welcoming space specifically for first responders and their families, our LGBTQ+ community, and male survivors of sexual abuse.
