Helping Young Adults Navigate Identity, Relationships, and Life Transitions Many of the people I work with have spent years being who others needed them to be. They are the responsible one, the caretaker, the peacekeeper, or the person trying to balance family expectations with their own needs and goals. They may appear capable on the outside while quietly struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, burnout, relationship challenges, or uncertainty about who they are becoming. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with Diagnostic Privilege in New York, I believe therapy is not about becoming a different person. It is about understanding the person you have had to become and deciding what you want to carry forward. I specialize in working with college students, young adults, new parents, and individuals navigating anxiety, depression, identity development, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. I am particularly passionate about supporting second-generation immigrants, individuals with multicultural identities, and those learning how to balance connection to family while building a stronger sense of self. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and collaborative. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) approaches to help clients better understand their emotions, develop practical coping tools, and create lasting change. I believe our struggles do not develop in isolation. We are shaped by our relationships, cultures, life experiences, and the roles we learn to play. Together, we explore these patterns with curiosity rather than judgment, creating space for greater self-understanding, resilience, and self-trust. Clients often describe me as warm, thoughtful, and engaged. I strive to create a space where you can feel supported, challenged, and understood as you navigate life's complexities and move toward a life that feels more authentic and aligned with your values.
