Dr. Ryan Davidson is a clinical psychologist licensed in the states of Massachusetts and New Hampshire. She works to meet individuals and families where they are at to develop values-based goals for treatment. Treatment is tailored to each patient or family, and she works from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) framework incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Parent Management Therapy (PMT), and Family Systems work. She is an attending psychologist at Boston Children's Hospital in the Division of Gastroenterology, Associate Program Director of the Growth and Nutrition Program, an Instructor of Psychology in the Division of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, and active member of DEI programs within Boston Children's Hospital, and supervises both post-doctoral psychology fellows and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellows. She completed her Clinical Psychology PhD at the University of Arizona where she worked in the child welfare system and family court and completed her internship and fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital, specializing in pediatric psychology. In addition, she has taught courses at Boston University, including Behavioral Medicine and provided trainings on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for Pediatric Feeding Disorders and ARFID across Massachusetts, including to Early Intervention providers as well as nationally and internationally. Her current trainings focus on understanding culturally responsive feeding practices and intersection of Health Related Social Needs in medical care. She is on the Board of Directors as the Psychologist-at-Large for the International Association of Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing and a member of the American Psychological Association and Society of Pediatric Psychology. Her publications include understanding risk and protective factors for families involved in the child welfare system, impact of early childhood stress and trauma in young adults, impact of sleep disorders on social and romantic functioning, and several quality improvement projects within multidisciplinary pediatric feeding disorder clinics.
