Introduction

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by depression or grief, navigating anger or trauma, or facing big life changes—I would love the opportunity to walk with you toward hope and healing. As an Associate Licensed Counselor (ALC) in Alabama, I take a collaborative approach in counseling that considers all dimensions of personhood: including biology, psychology, and spirituality. Drawing from evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness strategies, I tailor our sessions to help you accomplish your goals. For those who desire it, I am passionate about integrating Christ-centered principles in a non-judgmental way that respects their own spiritual convictions. I am under the clinical supervision of Kelly S. Arant, LPC-S. My background includes over a decade as an ordained minister, which deepened my passion for supporting people through life’s deepest challenges. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and have additional training in marital/pre-marital counseling (Gottman Level 1, SYMBIS). I utilize child-centered play therapy methods with children to foster a safe and supportive environment that encourages emotional processing and regulation. I am also trained to provide IASIS Microcurrent Neurofeedback (MCN), a non-invasive, non-pharmaceutical treatment modality. MCN helps your brain regulate your nervous system, reduce anxiety, depression, PTSD symptoms, and supports improvements in quality of life, including sleep. Many of the clients I partner with find support, clarity, and renewed purpose in our work together. I especially enjoy helping: • Children and adolescents build emotional skills and confidence • Adults process anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, anger, or stress • Couples strengthen communication, connection, and conflict resolution My wife and I have been married for 12 years and are proud parents of two young boys. We have called the Birmingham area home for 15 years. If any of this resonates, please reach out. I’d be honored to explore whether we’re a good fit.
