Most of the people I work with look fine from the outside. They’re capable. They’re often the ones everybody leans on, and life appears to be going their way. Underneath, however, is a very different story. They feel on edge, like something is not the way it’s supposed to be. They don’t know how to stop being responsible for everybody around them. And they don’t know how to find the change they are looking for. As Hello Calm’s clinical director, I’ve sat with hundreds of people for about a decade of doing this work. One thing I’ve learned is that talking about a problem often isn’t enough to change it. My guess is you want to feel better, but a part of you knows it’s going to take more than somebody listening and nodding to make real change happen. This is the work I do best. Together, we go back to the moments still putting your body on high alert, and help your nervous system learn the one thing it needs to know: the danger is over. If any of this sounds like you, or like the change you want in your own life, I’d like to talk. I’m only taking a limited number of new clients right now, and I’d be glad for you to be one of them.
