Hi, my name is Ryan and I’m a Professional Counselor Associate. My work centers on helping people understand how they learned to survive their early environments, and how those once necessary survival strategies may now show up as anxiety, depression, people pleasing, obsessions/compulsions, addiction, self-criticism, or even just feeling “stuck.” I don’t see these symptoms as flaws or failures. I see them as loyal protectors doing their best to keep you safe, even if they’re now creating challenges in your life. I believe therapy is the place where safety and authenticity meet. I work to create that safety by offering steady compassion, empathy, and acceptance. When we feel genuinely understood, the nervous system softens and that’s when change becomes possible. To support clients in connecting with their authentic selves, I draw from attachment theory, Internal Family Systems, inference based CBT, relational-cultural theory, person-centered therapy, Imago principles, and somatic grounding. I’ve supported clients navigating OCD, social and generalized anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, addiction, and the impacts of domestic violence. No matter what brings someone into therapy, my intention is the same: to offer a space where you don’t have to perform, protect, or pretend, and where we can explore what your symptoms have been trying to communicate. If you feel ready to take the next steps on your journey towards better mental health, I’d be honored to walk with you.
