Introduction

As we work together, my priority is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore thoughts, gain insight, and take steps toward creating the life you desire. Counseling is a unique process for every person; thus, I utilize an integrative approach that is tailored to your unique needs. I draw from core counseling concepts and evidence-based practices including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), as well as techniques rooted in humanism, behaviorism, and existentialism. I have provided treatment with a variety of populations and/or mental health concerns including those with serious mental illness, personality disorders, substance use disorders, intellectual and/or physical disabilities, and incarcerated/institutionalized individuals. I have worked in a variety of settings including acute psychiatric care, forensic psychiatry and rehabilitation, personality disorder treatment programs, and IDD programs. From my experiences, I have found a desire to help people create a life worth living as they are navigating challenges related to personality disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, co-occurring disorders, self-esteem and identity issues, serious mental illness, and life transitions. Overall, my goal is to help you create a life you are excited to live. Whether you are struggling with serious mental illness, healing from trauma, having interpersonal difficulties, or just processing everyday life challenges—I would be honored to walk alongside your journey in healing and building a life that you deem worth living.
