Hi, I'm Sage, and I've been working as a mental health professional for 10+ years. I'm not fond of these intros because I think they end up being written more to impress other therapists than to speak to the experience of you, the client. Before I ever became a therapist, I was a client, just like you. What mattered most to me when I was looking for a therapist was that they talk to me like a regular person. I wanted someone smart, who knew what they were talking about, but didn't make me feel stupid. I wanted someone who was warm, genuine, and felt safe. A person I could trust with my secrets and fears. Someone who would celebrate with me when something good happened, and someone who could sit with me when tragedy struck without trying to fix it for me. Now that I am a therapist myself, I try to follow this template with my clients. If this sounds like a good fit for you, then please reach out to me and we can get started.
