Hello and welcome. I’m Sakera E. Lane, LPC, CAADC, NCC, a licensed professional counselor and the founder of The Empty Chair LLC. I entered the field of mental health because I believe healing happens when people feel truly seen, heard, and supported—especially during life’s most difficult transitions. My work is rooted in helping adolescents, adults, and families navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, substance use, and emotional regulation. I have a particular passion for working with individuals who feel “stuck,” overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves or others, and those who are ready to better understand their patterns and reclaim a sense of balance and purpose. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed. I integrate evidence-based practices while honoring each client’s unique story, strengths, and values. Therapy with me is a space where you can show up as your full self—without judgment—and work at a pace that feels safe and meaningful for you. Whether you’re seeking clarity, healing, or personal growth, my goal is to help you build insight, develop effective coping strategies, and move toward lasting change. You don’t have to do this alone—and I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
