Introduction

Mind You Wellness provides trauma-informed psychiatric care for people navigating major life transitions, identity changes and relationship challenges. Many of the people I treat are entering adulthood, leaving home, beginning college, moving in with a partner, becoming parents, changing careers or learning to make decisions independently for the first time. These transitions can expose previously unrecognized ADHD, mood instability, trauma responses, unhealthy relationship patterns and beliefs about personal worth. My approach combines psychiatric assessment, counseling, education, practical planning and medication management when clinically appropriate. We examine symptoms as well as the environment surrounding them: sleep, responsibilities, relationships, expectations, boundaries, support systems and the people or circumstances that may be contributing to emotional destabilization. The goal is not simply to reduce symptoms after someone reaches burnout. It is to help clients understand their minds, recognize their worth, develop agency and build lives that are psychologically sustainable.
