Hello, My name is Sally Del Vecchio. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the states of California and Nevada. I hold a Master of Science in Counseling with a focus on Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I have worked with many different individuals, families, couples, and children. I have experience working with clients who have ADHD, Anxiety, Bipolar, Depression, OCD, PTSD, Self-Esteem issues, Social Anxiety, Trauma, Relationship Issues, and family of origin issues. I believe that together in a therapeutic setting, you can learn to embrace and explore many different parts of your life that can be uncomfortable or cause distress. By leaning into these often uncomfortable areas, you also open yourself up to new solutions, new ideas, and a fuller, more alive experience. It would be a pleasure to join you on your journey of improving your life, relationships, and overall well-being. I use a gentle, strength-based, collaborative approach to help you build insight and self-awareness and find meaning and solutions to your life’s journey. My goal is to help you create your fullest life; however, you choose to define it. In therapy, I always say, "Take what you need and leave what you don't." My Therapeutic Approaches: I use an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from several evidence-based methods to best support each client’s unique needs. Psychodynamic Therapy: Together, we explore how your past experiences shape your present challenges. This approach increases self-awareness and self-empowerment, and can be especially helpful for concerns like depression, trauma, PTSD, and relationship struggles. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): CBT is structured, practical, and focused on building skills to manage present-day problems. Through guided strategies and between-session practice, clients learn tools that are effective for anxiety, insomnia, eating concerns, and other challenges. Strength-Based Therapy: I believe in helping clients recognize and build on their strengths. This positive, empowering approach supports resilience, personal growth, and a more hopeful outlook on life. Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): Grounded in attachment theory and the science of emotions, EFT helps individuals, couples, and families transform negative cycles into secure, connected, and healthier relationships with themselves and others. Couples Counseling (The Gottman Method): For couples, I use the Gottman Method, which emphasizes strengthening friendship, improving communication, managing conflict, and repairing relationship ruptures. This approach is especially useful for couples experiencing chronic conflict, emotional distance, infidelity, or struggles with parenting, finances, or intimacy. By blending these approaches, I tailor therapy to each client’s personal goals, creating a supportive, collaborative space for healing and growth.
