I'm Sally Doherty, LICSW, a licensed independent clinical social worker currently providing outpatient therapy via Telehealth. I specialize in working with adolescents who struggle with emotion regulation, self-injurious behavior, trauma, depression, and anxiety. I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Boston College in 2021 and have over four years of post-graduate clinical experience. I began my career working with adolescents in acute care settings, including as a primary clinician at McLean Southeast ART, where I provided intensive therapeutic support to teens navigating complex emotional and behavioral challenges. Currently, I serve as the Emotional Impairment Clinical Coordinator for Boston Public Schools, where I continue to support youth in developing skills to manage their emotions and build resilience. In therapy, I primarily use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), all through a trauma-informed lens. I hold a certificate in trauma-informed care and am committed to creating a safe, collaborative space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. Whether you're a teen or the parent of a teen seeking support, I’m here to help. Therapy can be a powerful tool for healing, insight, and growth—and you don’t have to go through it alone.
