Samantha Baney is an accomplished and compassionate Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with a broad background in primary care, psychiatry, and addiction medicine. Board certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-C), Samantha brings over 15 years of experience in patient care, leadership, and clinical excellence across a variety of settings—including skilled nursing facilities, correctional health, and outpatient psychiatry. With an X-waiver for Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), she provides evidence-based care for patients with opioid use disorder and other substance-related challenges, combining pharmacologic management with empathy and education. Her clinical practice emphasizes holistic, patient-centered care that integrates physical, emotional, and psychological well-being. Samantha’s philosophy of care reflects her nursing roots: true healing extends beyond symptom management to embrace the whole person. She is known for her collaborative approach, working closely with interdisciplinary teams, families, and community resources to promote lasting recovery and stability. She currently practices in Rockford, Illinois, where she provides psychiatric evaluation, medication management, through private practice. Samantha earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Olivet Nazarene University and her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Illinois State University. She holds full practice authority in Illinois and Wisconsin and is an active member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. When she is not working, Samantha enjoys spending time with her family and cheering for the Packers.
