Samantha is a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Kansas. She received her Masters of Science in Family Therapy from Friends University in 2019. Samantha believes that discomfort is a humanistic experience that leads to growth and freedom. She believes that all individuals have the capacity to make their own choices, be responsible for their actions, have autonomy, authenticity, creativity, be driven by the desire for self mastery, and explore self actualization. She believes that through these experiences clients can grow into well rounded people who can manage life’s ups and downs. Her specialties for children are in the areas of child and adult transitions, parenting, PCIT (Parent Child Interaction Therapy), Play Therapy techniques, family therapy, and she works frequently with Children age 2-6, Currently, Samantha is working towards her certification in play therapy, a therapeutic approach used with children and adolescents. Her specialties for adults are in the areas of self esteem, complex family dynamics or systems, parenting, PTSD, and clinical issues such as anxiety, depression, and mood. She enjoys working with adults who are challenged with depression, anxiety, trauma, and complex familial issues.
