Hi! I'm Sam, and I'm so glad you're here. I'm a graduate student counseling intern in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Antioch University, working under the clinical supervision of Megan Snow, LPC. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to grow. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, young adults, parents, and LGBTQIA+ clients. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each person's unique needs. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and person-centered counseling, and I'm expanding my training in evidence-based treatment for anxiety, OCD, and play therapy. Before pursuing counseling, I worked in behavioral health and pediatric genetic research, supporting children and families through medical, developmental, and mental health challenges as well as working with the Special Olympics. Those experiences shaped my belief that healing happens through connection, curiosity, and practical support, and I feel honored to walk alongside clients as they move toward meaningful change.
