Making the decision to come to therapy can be difficult, especially when searching for the right person to share the most vulnerable parts of ourselves with. Knowing this, I take a person-centered approach to ensure you experience safety while processing difficult thoughts, emotions, or experiences. My background includes working with people who want to heal from past difficult experiences, who are coping with excessive worry, undergoing major life transitions, and experiencing difficulty with relationships. My approach is both solution-focused and trauma-informed, meaning that I attend to people’s strengths, resources and resilience, and emphasize the need for safety, choice, collaboration, trustworthiness, and empowerment. If you are looking to change your life, you have already begun the first step. My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to help you overcome, so that you can lead the life that will bring you fulfillment. “If you want the tree to grow, it won’t help to water the leaves. You have to water the roots.”
