Introduction

The best predictor for therapy success is the fit between the therapist and the client. So some clients have said I am the best therapist on the planet, but that does not guarantee I am the right therapist for you. Let me introduce myself so you can see for yourself! Because of my experiences as a Korean-Austrian-American, I know how complicated identity, personality, and culture can be. My style in therapy is what I call "a multi-expert model." As a licensed psychologist, I am a mental health expert - but I will never experience life as you. YOU are the expert in yourself (or "selves" if we are doing family, couples, or group), and I promise to treat you as such. Coming from a mixed-identity heritage, my approach in treatment is very flexible. For those wanting a more professional style, I will give advice and recommendations. For those who just want a safe space, I take a step back and listen with all the care I have. For those wanting a mix, I think out loud so you are informed without giving strict advice. Best part? You can switch it up every session based on your needs. I'm particularly experienced working with perfectionism, stress, identity, OCD, sexual identity and/or concerns. I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions and am currently accepting new clients. I also offer a free 30-minute initial consultation so you can get a "taste test" of whether my style feels like a good fit for you and address any questions about payment or help you find good referrals.
