My clients are processing traumas and rebuilding their lives in ways that feel healthy. I work with couples, parents, adolescents, and young adults beginning to process childhood trauma and live independently. In addition to traditional one-on-one therapy, Tuesdays at 10am I run a Mindful Moms support group and am also looking to start a post-traumatic growth group soon; if you're interested, reach out! Using EMDR training, Mindfulness, and evidenced based strategies that fit to your therapeutic needs, I address the root of dysregulation causing psychological distress. As we build out your capacity for groundedness, we explore how memories and stories formed and map out new narratives suited to your values, increasing fulfillment while decreasing unwanted symptoms. Through the container of therapy, we build trust and familiarity, finding tools to make life more manageable and increase support and confidence through challenging times. In session, you might laugh, cry, freeze, or unravel: I welcome all of you. In addition to working with individuals, I also meet with couples and parents seeking counseling with me for intimacy, trust, communication, and parenting support. I treat adolescent mental health during life transitions such as parental divorce or new schools. With an MFA and a background in meditation, I work often with issues around art-making, religious trauma, and codependency. When we first meet, I'd like to get a sense of what brought you into therapy, who you are, and where you're coming from. As I get to know your story, we map the landscape of your life and learn to articulate your therapy goals. We can hold the uncomfortable parts of existence together and tap into your capacity for resilience.
