Sometimes we find ourselves struggling over things we "shouldn't" or feeling down, anxious, or stuck "for no reason." We often criticize ourselves for struggling or try to grin and bear it, but these options often make things worse or at best maintain the status quo. Therapy, however, can help us learn how to navigate life's challenges and be kinder to ourselves in the process. Within the context of a genuine, empathic, collaborative, and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship, my goal is to help you learn about yourself, and together move you towards living the life you want. My approach to therapy is collaborative and egalitarian, and my interpersonal style is active, open, and authentic. I work largely from a mindfulness-based framework and intentionally integrate aspects of psychodynamic therapy, interpersonal process therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) as appropriate.
