Introduction

At times, life can be overwhelming and you may find yourself facing a problem that, no matter how hard you try, you simply cannot move past. It isn’t that you aren’t trying hard enough or that you’re somehow broken. When you feel as though nothing’s been working, it’s sometimes best to stop and look at problems you’ve already solved. Maybe the solution you need now has always been in plain sight and a second pair of eyes is all you need to see it. Other times, it truly is the case that there are no solutions or a problem is unsolvable. Letting go and mourning the loss of “what could have been” or “what should be” is never easy. You’d never want to give up prematurely, but, if it truly is the case that a problem is beyond your control, maybe finding certainty and accepting that reality is all you need to give yourself permission to live freely. And then there are times when you just don’t know where to go from here. If all you know is that you just don’t want to be where you are now, then maybe we can take the time to find where you’d like to be and how you personally can best get there in time. Change is slow and can be emotionally difficult, but there’s rarely only one precise path to any goal. By talking and taking things one day at a time, I’m sure you’ll eventually look back and see how far you’ve come through the eyes of who you’ve then become. While no counselor is perfect for everyone, I’d love to help in your journey if I’m able.
