Hi! I am Sandi and I am a veteran of the US Coast Guard and US Navy with a deployment to Operation Desert Shield/Storm. I am a recovering alcoholic. I am in my second career as a mental health and substance abuse and behavioral addiction. The addiction comes into play by medicating the pain that is felt inside of us, from childhood to adulthood and through service for our country and community. I am a dual licensed clinician in Nebraska and Wyoming and focuses on trauma and substance abuse. My work experience ranges from outpatient, intensive outpatient, residential, medical model hospital facility which includes partial hospitalization, corrections facility, and transitional housing within corrections. I have worked with men, women, and older (13 and up) juveniles with referrals from the VA, Probation, Parole, DHHS and community. I have experience in facilitating groups such as substance use education, Anger Management, Circle of Security, Men and Women’s Trauma Groups, DBT, Men’s Group, Sex Offenders, Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University, STOP and professional education/presentation groups which included Circle of Security and Domestic Violence. I have also facilitated groups such as Adult Children of Alcoholics and Women for Sobriety (my personal favorite). I have focused on trauma and how it facilitates violence along with substance in men, women, and children, impacting whole families. I am certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) clinician to treat the pain and trauma one has experience. I also utilize EVOX which is biofeedback utilizing
