Hi! My name is Sandy Schuster. I am a licensed therapist with over 35 years of experience in helping children, families and adults address meaningful concerns. These include managing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, divorce, trauma treatment, sexual abuse, life changing events as well as other issues. My goal is to find what type of treatment works best for you, your child or your family. When working with young children, ages 4-11, play therapy is highly effective. I want to help you and/or your child learn how to manage big feelings to help deal with the complexities of life. When I work with children I feel it is important to develop a team approach to treatment, involving parents through education and supporting them at part of our collaborative efforts. When working with all clients, I focus on building a supportive and trusting relationship in a safe environment, helping them identify their concerns and offering creative interventions, assessing their needs and including them in establishing treatment goals. I am person centered, knowing that building therapeutic relationships is key to successful treatment goals.
