Introduction

Hi, I’m Sara Anderson, MSW, LCSW, founder of Root’d PLLC. I’m a licensed clinical social worker with over a decade of experience supporting individuals through life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, burnout, identity shifts, anxiety, grief, and the complicated reality of simply being human. My approach is grounded, collaborative, holistic, and deeply person-centered. I believe therapy works best when it feels less like being “analyzed” and more like having a steady, honest space to untangle what’s heavy, reconnect with yourself, and build a life that feels more aligned and sustainable for you. Throughout my career, I’ve worked across community mental health, holistic collectives, integrated healthcare, crisis systems, care coordination, and program development. Those experiences shaped the way I practice today: with warmth, directness, curiosity, and respect for the full context of a person’s life, not just their symptoms. At Root’d, I aim to create a space that feels both professional and human. A space where insight and accountability can coexist with compassion. Where growth is allowed to be slow, layered, and imperfect. Whether you’re navigating overwhelm, patterns that keep repeating, relationship stress, major life changes, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, therapy can become a place to pause long enough to hear your own voice again beneath all the noise.
