Introduction

Feel like you aren't getting anywhere trying to change things on your own? You might be having trouble making progress towards life goals or are unable to connect to feelings of interest, pleasure...joy. Does it seem like every moment has been hijacked by thoughts of food and/or body image—what you should or can't eat and how to compensate for what you've eaten? Are you consumed with self-judgement and envious comparisons? You might feel lethargic, foggy, restlessly idle, persistently overwhelmed or isolated or are repeating self-defeating behaviors or relationship patterns. I want to help you step out of this loop. My approach to therapy is holistic and integrative, grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dance/Movement Therapy, allowing us to pivot between verbal, somatic and dynamic modalities, as needed and when ready, to actively work on getting some where. This can be powerful for anyone who has been frustrated with traditional talk therapy. A Licensed Professional Counselor and Board-Certified Dance Movement Therapist, my experience includes concurrently working with patients and their family/partners at higher levels of care focused on eating disorders as well as OCD, trauma, anxiety, depression. I specialize in treating the mind-body disconnections inherent in body dysmorphia, exercise addiction and chronic pain and illness.
