A lot of us find ourselves in a place of despair, repeating the same types of painful relationship patterns over and over again. Even more, we don't even know how it happened or that we are doing it again until it's too late. I help people in Portland, Maine, or state wide through telehealth, who are suffering from people pleasing, codependency, loss of self, insecure attachment, and developmental trauma. Together we can explore your relational patterns, struggles, and strengths in order to lead you to a new path of self-determined fulfillment. We will gently but assuredly do deep work together, not put a band-aid over your pain. Terms you might be familiar with as to the types of treatment I use are IFS parts work, inner child healing, boundaries work, self-compassion, Emotion Focused Therapy, experiential and psychodynamic therapy, If you're a spiritual person, I have a special interest in helping people incorporate their spirituality into our psychological work together. Please do not let this deter you. - Firstly, I can provide paperwork for you to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement for payment of services. - Secondly, many people find their insurance doesn't cover services, either because of a high deductible or because the care needed does not meet the requirements of a formal mental health diagnosis required for insurance coverage. - Thirdly, I also offer a sliding scale lower fee for those in need. I offer both in person therapy at my office in the Old Port of Portland, Maine, and online teletherapy.
