Welcome to Kids Group Therapy of Northern Virginia, which is dedicated to supporting children, teens, and young adults through the complexities of their developmental years. Sara Smith, MA, LMFT specializes in providing thoughtful, affirming, and evidence-based individual and group therapy to young people facing a range of mental health and social challenges. A safe and professional space is offered for clients to work through issues such as anxiety, depression, and self-harm. Expertise also includes supporting individuals with gender dysphoria and navigating social issues, as well as providing specialized care for those with ADHD and Autism. The foundation of Sara Smith's practice is rooted in comprehensive training. Sara Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and a second Master of Science degree in Behavior Analysis with an emphasis in Autism. This combination of clinical, relational, and behavioral expertise ensures deeply personalized and effective support for every client.
