Introduction

Welcome to Milwaukee Mental Health and Consulting. We provide trauma-informed, evidence-based therapy for individuals navigating anxiety, grief, fertility and perinatal experiences, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. Many clients come to us feeling overwhelmed despite doing “all the right things” and are ready for deeper understanding and meaningful change. Our work integrates EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), somatic therapy, and relational approaches to support nervous system regulation and lasting relief, not just short-term coping. Sarah Benitez-Zandi, LCSW, specializes in trauma, grief and loss, perinatal mental health, fertility concerns, and complex relationship dynamics. She works with insight-oriented clients who may feel stuck despite significant effort or previous therapy experience. Her approach blends EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), somatic therapy, and evidence-based skills to support meaningful emotional processing and integration. Therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and designed to help clients experience real progress, not just insight. Treatment may include EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), somatic therapy, CBT/DBT-informed strategies, attachment-focused work, and parts-oriented approaches depending on your goals. Areas of focus include trauma and complex trauma, anxiety, grief and loss, fertility and perinatal mental health, identity development, relationship stress, and burnout. In addition to weekly therapy, we offer focused therapy intensives for clients seeking deeper progress in a shorter period of time. Intensives provide extended, uninterrupted sessions designed for trauma processing, emotional integration, and meaningful momentum when weekly therapy feels slow or insufficient. They may be used as a stand-alone service or alongside ongoing therapy.
