Introduction

Hello and welcome! My name is Sarah and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Feeling emotionally vulnerable and/or out of control can be a scary thing to deal with. I'd love to help you navigate these big feelings as well as help you understand and change your behaviors so you can enjoy the life you're living. Whether you are dealing with unresolved trauma, LGBTQIA+ issues, religious deconstruction, depression, anxiety or other mental health issues, I am here to help. I specialize in working with teens, young adults, and the LGBTQIA+ community. In therapy, we will work through those unwanted emotions and learn new skills to help you begin to deal with them effectively. I am certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and am a Trauma Informed therapist. I recognize that no client is the same and one approach will not work for all. Therefore, I also incorporate Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to individualize my treatment approaches to the specific needs of each person. I will be honest and forthcoming with thoughts and tools I believe will be helpful for your recovery. I encourage my clients to dig deep and hold themselves accountable for how they can do and feel better as well as take a social justice oriented approach to acknowledge the systems in place making it difficult to recover. Reach out today for a consultation!
