Hi, I’m Sarah. As a therapist, I aim to help others to understand themselves more deeply, to learn how to cultivate more joy and purpose so they may feel more present in their daily lives. My practice of therapy is humanistic and trauma-informed. I hold a deep respect for the client/therapist relationship and use deep listening, curiosity and unconditional positive regard as my guideposts. I believe therapy is a partnership built on empathy, openness, and a commitment to non-judgment. I primarily work with adults and couples; my therapeutic style centers on creating a safe and trusting space where my clients can feel most comfortable with who they are as a person. I appreciate using modalities such as Narrative therapy, Motivational interviewing, ACT, IFS, DBT, CBT and Brainspotting to work through past traumas, and to identify and address mental health challenges. This process supports clients in pursuing their goals, whether those are to overcome life’s challenges and daily stressors or to pursue long-term dreams. I am a New England native and am endlessly inspired by the beauty available to us in the gorgeous state of Maine. I also love reading poetry; I find that it reminds me of what is most meaningful about the world we live in. I look forward to meeting you! :)
