Introduction

About Sarah Hart, LPC-S Life can feel overwhelming when relationships are strained, anxiety is high, old wounds continue to surface, or the strategies that once helped you cope no longer seem to work. My goal is to provide a counseling experience that is both compassionate and practical—one where you feel genuinely understood while also leaving with tools, insight, and a clear path forward. I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship conflict, grief, life transitions, parenting concerns, self-esteem issues, and emotional dysregulation. I have a special interest in helping individuals heal from childhood wounds, attachment injuries, betrayal trauma, and experiences that continue to impact present-day relationships and emotional well-being. My counseling style is warm, collaborative, and direct. I believe meaningful change happens when clients feel safe enough to be honest with themselves and are also challenged to grow. Rather than simply talking about problems, I help clients understand the underlying patterns, beliefs, fears, and nervous system responses that keep them stuck. Together, we identify healthier ways of responding that align with your values and goals. I integrate a variety of evidence-based approaches tailored to each client's needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment-Based Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed interventions, Polyvagal-informed work, mindfulness, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). For couples, I frequently utilize Imago Relationship Therapy concepts and attachment-focused interventions to help partners improve communication, rebuild trust, and create greater emotional safety. Whether you are working through trauma, struggling in a relationship, navigating a difficult season of life, or simply seeking personal growth, I aim to create a space where healing, insight, and lasting change can occur. I view counseling as a partnership and consider it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they develop greater self-awareness, healthier relationships, and increased confidence in navigating life's challenges.
