Introduction

Hello! Welcome to Synergy Centered Counseling and Wellness, LLC. I am Sarah Hughes, owner, operator, and clinician of this counseling practice. My background includes 18 years of experience in the public education system as an educator, case manager, and school counselor as I transitioned my career to mental health counseling. I am a licensed professional counselor with a national board certification credential. I have been practicing in the community based mental health field for the past 5 years and established private practice in September of 2024. I offer mental health support, addressing behavioral and emotional symptoms impacting an individual's access to full participation in daily life and relationships. Clients seeking support, may benefit from a mix of verbal and non-verbal therapeutic approaches, appreciate creative or somatic activities, and value being seen as an individual with unique strengths. Grounded in existentialist theory, my therapeutic approach to mental and behavioral health offers a sanctuary for those seeking meaningful change and emotional wellness operating under the premise that healing begins with self-awareness, authenticity, and the courage to reclaim one's autonomy. My approach honors each unique journey, supporting paths to self-discovery and healing with compassion, clinical expertise, and a rich blend of evidence-based experiential approaches.
