Introduction

Sarah is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Her therapeutic style is influenced by DBT & mindfulness-based approaches to healing. Sarah enjoys using the technique of expressive arts when working with clients in treatment and is passionate about internal family systems and solution focused therapy. She enjoys working in collaboration with adolescents, their families, and adults 18+ and couples to understand and reduce anxiety, cope with trauma, grow self-love and acceptance, decrease perfectionist thinking and cognitive distortions, increase mindfulness practices, enriching self-care practices, and explore the powerful and dynamic internal world that resides within each client. Sarah’s counseling approach integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to support clients in building meaningful and lasting change. Through DBT, she helps clients develop practical skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. Using a solution-focused lens, she empowers clients to identify their strengths and envision concrete steps toward their goals, emphasizing what is working and how to build on it. Incorporating IFS, she guides clients in exploring and understanding their inner parts with curiosity and compassion, fostering greater self-awareness and internal harmony. She prides herself in walking hand and hand with her clients through their therapeutic journey. Together, these approaches create a collaborative, strengths-based, and compassionate space for healing and growth. For fun Sarah enjoys musical theater, cooking with her family, spending time with husband and fur babies, Harry Potter and has a major obsession for anything related to llamas and alpacas.
