My name is Sarah Rose Goldfinch, and I’m the therapist behind Acorn & Oak Therapy. I hold a Masters in Social Work from Salem State University, and am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked as a Special Education teacher. I work with kids age 5 and up, and adults across the life span. Areas that I have particular clinical interest and training in include: child & adolescent therapy, trauma responses, (PTSD, C-PTSD), adoption & foster care, neurodiversity, identity exploration, life transitions (moving, divorce, etc.), gender affirming care, chronic illness and disability. I am committed to therapeutic approach that is LGBTQIA+ inclusive, neurodiversity affirming, disability rights oriented, anti-racist, and culturally responsive. I am deeply passionate about helping people across the lifespan find a way to exist in the world that brings them peace, joy, and satisfaction. Sometimes the world is a hard place to thrive, but I know that with the right supports, people can build that right-for-them life. Some of the things that are part of my "right-for-me" life include long walks in the woods, amateur stargazing, arts and crafts projects, quirky fantasy novels, and time with friends and family.
