Introduction

Hi! I'm so happy that you are here. My name is Sarah Roberts, and I am a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern, as well as an alumna of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master’s program at the University of North Florida (UNF). In my practice I take a client-centered, collaborative approach, tailoring my work to support each person’s unique needs. I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Person-Centered Therapy (focusing on empathy, safety, and your lived experience), trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you notice and shift unhelpful thoughts and patterns, Mindfulness practices to build calm and present-moment awareness, Expressive Arts to explore feelings through creativity, and Solution-Focused Therapy to identify strengths and small, doable next steps. I am also trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), which helps partners understand their patterns, repair disconnection, and build a more secure bond. My goal is to help you build resilience, develop healthier coping strategies, and work toward meaningful personal growth in a supportive environment. I’m committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space supporting LGBTQ+ individuals, neurodivergent individuals, people of color and other marginalized populations where clients can explore their emotions, gain clarity, and find healing. Additionally, I have a particular interest in working with First Responders, Military members, and Veterans, recognizing the unique challenges these populations face. When I am away from my office, I enjoy volunteering at the Florida Diabetes Camp, curating my vinyl record collection, visiting local cafes, searching for shark teeth on the beach, or cherishing moments with my close friends. I would be honored to partner with you and offer my support as you pursue your personal path to healing and growth.
