Introduction

I'm Sarah Spund, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), Maryland Board-approved LCPC Supervisor, and founder of Maryland Mindfulness & Mental Performance Counseling, LLC. I help adolescents, young adults, and adults navigate life's challenges while learning to stay grounded under pressure. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, relationship challenges, major life transitions, performance expectations, or self-doubt, you may find yourself feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or exhausted from trying to hold everything together. Sometimes, even when everything looks fine on the outside, it can feel very different on the inside. My approach is supportive, collaborative, and practical. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness-based strategies, and mental performance techniques to help you better understand your experiences, work through difficult patterns, and develop tools you can use in everyday life. I believe meaningful growth comes from a combination of compassion, curiosity, and honest reflection. Our work creates space for what you're carrying while also exploring the thoughts, behaviors, and patterns that may be keeping you feeling stuck. My goal isn't to eliminate every difficult feeling or stressful moment. It's to help you feel more grounded, confident, and capable of navigating life's challenges without losing yourself in the process. In addition to individual therapy, I offer nonclinical mental performance coaching for athletes, performers, and individuals looking to strengthen their focus, confidence, and ability to navigate pressure. I also provide clinical supervision for Maryland LGPCs working toward independent licensure. **Virtual therapy and clinical supervision are available throughout Maryland.**
