Introduction

Maryland Mindfulness & Mental Performance Counseling (MMAMPC) was founded by Sarah Spund, LCPC, to create a grounded, supportive space where individuals can navigate life’s transitions and pressures without judgment. Sarah is a licensed clinical professional counselor serving adolescents and adults across Maryland through virtual therapy. With experience in private practice, school, hospital, and outpatient settings, she specializes in anxiety, performance pressure, life transitions, and self-doubt. As a former professional athlete, Sarah understands firsthand the internal demands placed on high-performing individuals. Her work integrates mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral therapy, mental performance counseling, and EMDR to help clients build clarity, confidence, and sustainable tools for growth. Sarah has been featured on WBAL-TV’s 11 TV Hill with Jason Newton, where she discussed how to talk to children about difficult events — reflecting her commitment to making mental health conversations accessible and practical. MMAMPC is a fully virtual practice serving clients throughout Maryland and is currently welcoming new clients. We are in-network with Cigna, CareFirst, and UnitedHealthcare.
