I am a certified neuropsychotherapist and EMDR trained clinician. My clients and I work to intentionally engage neuroplasticity-- the brain's incredible capacity to change throughout our lifespan. Because of this, my practice is deeply hopeful, empowering, and grounded in personal agency. Through an integrative approach that draws on the modalities listed below, I am honored to support people in accessing lasting wellness. I have provided effective treatment for those experiencing severe anxiety, depression, symptoms from complex trauma, PTSD, trauma related pain, chronic pain, somatic symptom disorders, insomnia, grief, existential crisis, and stage of life transitions. I hold a certificate in Dream Tending from Dr. Stephen Aizenstat of Pacifica Graduate Institute. I note this specifically, as the integration of Dream Work with EMDR can be particularly valuable in treatment. EMDR has been shown to increase dream vividness and recall, and dream work can explore narratives in the unconscious that are nourishing and replete with insight. Even nightmares can be transformed and mined for your benefit. In my years as a spiritual director for anti-traffickers and survivors of sex trafficking, I had the honor of serving diverse people from across the US and internationally. While my therapy practice is distinct from my work in spiritual direction, I offer the same qualities of presence and attunement in therapy sessions. I earned a BA in Studio Art from Whitman College; I paint and draw, write and make music-- I experience the world through a lens of Beauty, and I approach therapy with this frame of reference. A person free to live from their most whole and authentic self is Beauty at work. It is a privilege to offer this healing work in our valley.
