Introduction

At SAF Counseling and Consulting Services, PLLC, we help individuals move from surviving to truly living. Healing isn’t just about revisiting the past it’s about creating change you can feel in both your mind and your body. My approach is integrative and body-based, combining EMDR body-based trauma therapy (Somatic & Attachment-Focused), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Brainspotting, hypnotherapy, IFS therapy, and Rapid Transformation Experiences for real, lasting healing. I am also trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT) for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and related conditions. I specialize in dually assessing and treating OCD and trauma together because intrusive thoughts and compulsions don’t exist in isolation, and trauma responses are often misunderstood as anxiety or vice versa. Treatment is collaborative, nuanced, and grounded in evidence-based care. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, severe dissociation, Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), OCD, body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs) such as hair pulling or skin picking, postpartum changes, relationship strain, medical stress, or high-pressure performance environments, we work together to build safety in your body, clarity in your mind, and stronger connections in your life. I am especially passionate about supporting individuals living with complex trauma, dissociative disorders, OCD and BFRBs, perinatal mental health concerns, and couples seeking deeper connection. I also work closely with professionals, athletes, performers, and first responders who operate in high-stress environments. With flexible virtual sessions across Texas, Washington, Colorado, and Oregon and broad insurance coverage care is both accessible and personalized. If you’re ready to begin your next chapter, I invite you to explore the site, schedule a free consultation, or reach out with any questions. You don’t have to walk this path alone. I would be honored to walk alongside you. Maybe You’ve Been the Strong One Maybe you’ve spent years holding everything together staying busy, performing under pressure, pushing through because life demanded it. Whether you come from a high-intensity career, are navigating new parenthood, managing medical challenges, or carrying trauma you’ve never spoken out loud, stress doesn’t simply disappear. Eventually, your mind and body begin telling the truth for you. The weight you carry might show up as: Feeling numb, detached, shut down or the opposite: tense, hyperaware, and always braced Severe dissociation, losing time, memory gaps, identity confusion, or feeling disconnected from your body Living with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) or parts of you that feel separate, protective, or in conflict Intrusive thoughts, compulsions, mental rituals, reassurance-seeking, or overwhelming doubt that feel impossible to quiet (OCD) Repetitive behaviors such as hair pulling, skin picking, nail biting, or other BFRBs that feel automatic or hard to stop A mind stuck in loops of worry, self-doubt, or constant “what ifs” Panic or overwhelm that hits suddenly, as if your body reacts before you understand why Relationship or intimacy patterns shaped by old wounds Sexual behaviors or compulsions that feel out of control or wrapped in shame Deep physical and emotional exhaustion from chronic illness, pain, or complex diagnoses Identity shifts, loneliness, or emotional strain connected to pregnancy, postpartum, or fatherhood Pressure to perform, as an athlete, performer, professional, partner, or parent If you feel stretched thin, trapped in obsessive loops, overwhelmed by dissociation, pulled back into survival strategies, or confused by reactions you can’t quite explain, you are not alone. And you are not broken. This Work Is For This work is for individuals who have lived through hard things physically, emotionally, relationally, or professionally. For those whose bodies have carried trauma. For nervous systems that run on overdrive. For individuals living with severe dissociation or Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). For people navigating OCD, intrusive thought cycles, or body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs). For clients whose OCD and trauma are intertwined and require careful, dual-focused treatment. For those whose inner world feels fragmented, protective, or difficult to manage alone. For competitive athletes and performers navigating injury, burnout, identity shifts, or relentless expectations. For parents working through perinatal stress and the complex realities of parenthood. For partners seeking deeper connection, repair, and understanding. For anyone dealing with chronic pain, medical trauma, or quiet burdens no one else seems to see. No judgment. No shame. No minimizing your experience. Just steady, trauma-informed, evidence-based support from someone who understands complex trauma, dissociation, OCD, BFRBs, high-stress environments, invisible wounds, and the parts of life that feel too heavy to carry alone.
