Introduction

I’m Savanna Martin, LPC, and I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression and mood concerns, difficult relationships, and patterns that can be hard to understand or even harder to change. My approach to therapy is curious, collaborative, and direct. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we’ll look at what’s happening in the context of your life: your relationships, experiences, emotions, values, and the ways you’ve learned to respond when things feel difficult or uncertain. I have a particular interest in attachment and relationships, including family-of-origin experiences and patterns that show up in dating and romantic relationships. We might explore how you respond to closeness, conflict, rejection, vulnerability, or uncertainty; the roles you learned to take on in your family; or why certain relationship dynamics seem to repeat themselves. But not everything has to lead back to attachment or childhood. Anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and other concerns can have many influences. Therapy gives us room to understand your experience without forcing it into a single explanation. My work is attachment-focused and informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). That means we'll work toward understanding your patterns while also building greater flexibility in how you respond to difficult thoughts, emotions, and situations. The goal isn't to become a different person or to never struggle again. It's to understand yourself more clearly, have more choices in how you respond, and build a life and relationships that reflect what matters to you.
