Dr. Savannah Honarbakht, PhD, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. She is first generation Persian-American, queer, neurodivergent, and one of the "weirdos". She is trained in systems, working with a wide variety of traditional and non-traditional relationships. Advocating for equality and growth, she takes an eclectic approach that is rooted in a mind-body connection. Savannah views themself as a guide along your therapeutic journey. Savannah enjoys working with couples, polycules, families, and individuals from all walks of life while taking a diversified strengths-based approach. She has direct experience working within the LGBTQIA+, Neurodivergent, Kink/BDSM, and Poly/CNM populations....as well as their own lived experience as being a member of those populations. She takes an eclectic approach of care for her clients, as she believes no one size fits all. However, she is attuned to experiential and emotionally focused methods that call for a strength-based approach, client autonomy, emotional awareness, personal and relational growth, authenticity, healing attachment wounds, and a mind-body connection. She operates under the assumption that all humans are capable of making change and already have innate strengths to help them get there - her job is to help you discover these strengths and learn how to utilize them. She often incorporates movement, meditation, mindfulness, sandtray, EMDR, and expressive arts alongside talk therapy.
