Hello! I am a counseling intern currently attending Messiah University. I have a passion for creating an environment in which you can feel safe and comfortable to express even your deepest thoughts, emotions, desires, and fears in order to adaptively process and work through life’s challenges. Using an integrative approach that blends cognitive-behavioral considerations with commitment to one’s values and an understanding of the story one comes from, I hope to help move clients towards a better comprehension of themselves and their barriers and strengths that can aid them in living a life that is healthy, fruitful, and adaptive. I enjoy working with clients of all ages, and I have extensive professional and academic experience with children and child development. I have a passion for the idea that a better understanding of our own development and the development of our kids, or the kids in our lives, goes a long way towards healthy attachment relationships that will impact generations to come. My other areas of focus include anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, OCD, and spiritual issues, using interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) to guide the process. I provide a faith-based approach for clients who desire that experience, and I want to emphasize that my door is open to anyone who is willing to walk through it.
