Hi, I’m Sonia. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York and Licensed Professional Counselor in Connecticut, providing in-person and virtual therapy for women, teens, and young adults. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful and self-aware. They may understand why they feel anxious or why certain relationship patterns keep happening, yet still struggle to create meaningful change. That’s where therapy can help. My work focuses on the connection between your emotions, your body, and your relationships. Together, we’ll explore what’s happening beneath the surface, including the patterns you’ve developed to cope and protect yourself. I use an attachment-focused, trauma-informed, and mind-body approach, incorporating evidence-based techniques when helpful. Therapy is a space where you can show up as you are, without needing to have everything figured out. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, relationship struggles, emotional overwhelm, a life transition, or feeling disconnected from yourself, we’ll work toward greater understanding, self-trust, and meaningful change. You don’t have to wait until things feel unbearable to reach out. Sometimes therapy simply begins with wanting to understand yourself a little better.
